My mom was a Remedial High School English Teacher for 28 years. I've also worked in the Sales Field where you have to be persuasive and give a strong argument that justifies the purchase.
You also want to be very courteous since it's someone else's money and not yours that will go to purchasing the item in question.

Dear Sir,
Please consider purchasing a new vehicle rather than a used one. A new vehicle will save you money in the long run.
Purchasing a used Toyota Mark 2 will create problems for you when it comes to maintenance and become more hassle than it is worth.
1) Repair Parts are difficult to obtain
2) An older model needs more fuel than newer models, which are more fuel efficient
3) Your personal driver will be more reliable because there is little risk of your driver getting stuck or stranded compared to a used vehicle that could break down more easily vs. a new model
4) The Resale value for a used vehicle will be lower
I respectfully request that you consider getting a new one vehicle with VVT-I Engine. It is new, will have a higher resale value, and it will make beter use of your money.
I feel that purchasing a used vehicle simply to avoid a high sticker price will cost you more in the long run with a used vehicle when it comes to repair
My aunt has suggested that Provox would be better investment. Other alternatives would be a Platz or an X. While it's true that the initial cost of a new vehicle will be more than a used one, at least you know what you're paying for.
It is usually difficult to verify the reliability of the used vehicle and what conditions it was under with its previous owner. All the parts are straight from the manufacturer and you are able to keep track of any wear and tear with your newly owned vehicle.
You will save more money and be much happier with a new car.
Respectfully yours,
Rimi

You should do some research on the best vehicles to buy. I can't help much with this letter, because I am a Toyota owner. I have 155,000 miles on my Toyota and have done nothing to it except wear items (such as brakes). Toyota's are excellent vehicles and when taken care of they last at least to 250,000 to 300,000 miles.
Sorry I could not help with the letter, however, do some research and I think you will like the results.
Also, you can buy parts for Toyota at most vehicle parts stores and ebay is also a great source.

I cannot help but please do not delete - I ditto the Toyota owner above - my 85 Tercel 4wd station wagon has 220k and uses oil normally - with an open mind a person may end up with a Cream Puff and bank the savings and everyone moves forward together - America is running out of space for car carcasses and some of them could have been fixed.

If it is the boss's money he can buy what he likes. If he is buying the car for you - you should be grateful to get anything past your wage.
