4-12 will be their record. They look like the Texans did last year. No protection from the O-line, no production from the defense. Not gonna be a good year for the Raiders.

Probably not. However, Oakland needs to make serious adjustments to its offensive scheme. In the San Diego game they gave up a lot of points early and had to play catch-up from the start of the game. To that effect, the Oakland Offensive Coordinator kept calling deep receiving routes and 7 step drops for Aaron Brooks. This meant that the offensive line would need to provide 3-4 seconds of protection so that Brooks could complete his drop back into the pocket and that the receivers could get separation in their routes. The O-Line couldn't give Brooks more than 1-2 seconds of protection. Rather than adjust to shorter routes, slants or quick hits, Oakland kept calling the long ball.

A bright spot for Oakland was the way their defense played during the second half. The Oakland D stepped it up and did a great job against LT in the second half. (when compared to the first half).

Oakland has some talent on its team. I'd like to see them not try for the long ball as much. Set up some screens for LaMont Jordan. If the corners are giving Moss a large cushion at the line of scrimmage, Brooks should immediately audible to a quick hit to Moss. Every pass does not need to pick up a first down. Picking up 3-5 yards on a pass makes it a lot easier to run for the rest.

Oakland will be able to win against teams who have a weak D-Line. They will use Jordan to exploit the line's weakness. Weak d-line means weak pass rush. This will allow Brooks time to go through his progressions and allow Moss to get separation from his defenders.

I'm a little concerned that they traded Gabriel to New England and have now benched Porter. For a team that relies on its passing game as much as Oakland, they aren't putting themselves in a position to win.

They'll win a game or two, but I still think we'll be hearing this phrase come spring, "With the number one pick in the 2007 draft, the Oakland Raiders select..."

They have a chance against cleveland next week. If they can't beat them, we might see an 0-16 season. In response to dasvidas, sure they slowed down LT in the second half, any defense would when they know the run is coming. They had 8 men in the box most of the time. Don't underestimate the crappyness of the Raiders D.

If they played like they did on Monday then 0-16 is what they will be at the end of the year. The offense will have to improve. Aaron Brooks looked like a deer in headlights all game. 9 sacks in a game was horrible. The offensive line looked like trash all night.

The raiders will go 0-16 if they continue playing Aaron Brooks. They honestly need to start Andrew Walter instead. I watched him play at ASU and the guy can throw. I mean common with a receiver like Randy Moss on your team plus my fantasy team he needs more catches.

No. There will not be a 0-16 team this season.

People, some teams have good and bad days, nobody can play like a superbowl winning team EVERY night, so theres no way they are gonna go 0-16, but looking at their offencive players they are gonna struggle this year

I don't think that they will go 0-16 but they will be battling Green Bay for the first draft pick next year. At least they can get Brady Quinn for their franchise QB an can get rid of Aaron Brooks

i predict 4-12. 6-10 if they get some lucky wins. i was optimistic during the preseason but their line is still a mess. the D is ok. much better than last year but the O is so bad the D is forced to play too much and get tired. until they fix their o-line they won't go far.
and i hope they trade porter. i like him as an athlete but he's pissing me off with his pouting. just shut up and play or go home!

Don't base the entire season on one Monday night. I don't see them having a banner year, most teams today seem to be in transition.
