The real reason will be answered right here,,,I watched a show on History Channel called Hooked Illegal Drugs,,,,,in the episode about Opium Morphine and Heroin,,they mention that the real reason attendents kept the doors locked at gas stations is cause,,thats where people go to get there FIX ,,without being noticed.....So u can Thank a Drug User next time u gotta Urinate....

Are you asking why people lock the door when they use the restroom? Because they don't want someone walking in on them.
Why do they take forever? Because they're trying to hover over the toilet & not actually sit on it and that takes time.

I don't know why a person wouldn't lock the door to a one holer. When one is traveling, they must stop and take a break, and unless, you are fortunate enough to find a restroom with several toilets, then ya just gotta wait.

It takes time to build the toilet paper make-shift seat. As if I'm going to let my butt skin touch the gross seat. Once you've actually mastered the art (it only takes 5 strips... 3 long and 2 short), it shouldn't take longer than 17 seconds. But, you have to remember to always wipe the seat first. You wouldn't want anything soaking through the toilet paper make-shift seat... that would defeat it's purpose.

They use the restroom because they have to pee/poop/freshen up. They lock the door for privacy. They take as long as they need to finish what they went in for. What's the problem??

I think they have to be careful not to catch any of the germs and diseases that are available at the gas station bathroom.
Those restrooms are very nasty

People use the restroom at gas stations because they have to use the bathroom to pee or whatever. would u just go in your pants?
They lock the door for privacy! DUH! No one wants to see anyone sittin on the toilet half naked! Are you drunk?

Occasional travel may disrupt a person's normal eating/digestive patterns. This in turn may cause stomach upset, constipation and other intestinal irregularities which may prolong their occupation of a public restroom...

they use it b/c they must have to go REALLY bad. I use gas stations as last resort... in terms of locking the door that just seems obvious to me...
