Rats make great pets!! They are fun and most are friendly...if they weren't handled as young rats, they might not enjoy being held and could bite, but are still fun to watch. The only problem is that they don't live very long...I've heard 2 - 5 years...mine have only lived about 3 years and I took good care of them.

Rats make very good pets and can become very tame and love human contact. Rats are not poisonous but some wild rats can carry diseases that can make people sick. If you want a pet rat get one from a good pet store. Handle it a lot so it gets used to you and you'll have a great pet.

I have had 2 pet rats, Jerry and Willard, and they made awesome pets. They are very docile critters and not poisonous as long as it isn't a wild rat you are wanting.

I had one when I was younger and it was very smart and lovable. He roamed around our house freely and he just loved to snuggle up to everyone.
They are not poisonous but if you get an ill tempered one then it may bite. It won't cause any serious damage, it will just hurt. However, they are typically very sweet, friendly creatures.

They are ok to have a pet as long as they are in the glass cage. They can be poisonous. Dont let them out.

If you buy it from somebody, it should be fine, and I have heard they are really smart and fun pets. But don't just pick up a random one you find, THAT is dangerous! lol

i dont like anmals that small they creap me out
but it depends on what kind rat u get some are poisoning

If they were born and raised in captivity they should be fine
