I use tampons quite often and after about 7 days of them I get liek a slight infection from using them so much and I itch terribly down there. It then sort of spreads up wards from my vagina to around the clitoral area and itches intensley. How can I stop this? I think it is because when I pull them out they brush the same amount of skin and get irratated. What can I do?

I have about 7 days and the fist 3 are super super heavy and then it goes down hill. So I usually use like 3/4 of the whole box of 40 tampons. I can't stand pads, I think I'll leak. And I can't stand feelign myself bleed to death.

How about using pads for the first few lighter days, or the last few lighter days to give your skin a rest.
It's called vaginitis.
You can get creams if you don't want to use pads from the OBGYN, or you can use like a diaper cream .. but the best thing is to eliminate the days down as much as possible, because you could be causing damage to the cells that line your vagina.

Sounds like the typical signs of a yeast infection. Many women are particularly prone to yeast infections during their menstruation, and after 7 days of tampons, no doubt your body is starting its own protest. :) Try changing the tampons more often, and I recommend using a cleansing cloth specifically designed for women (Playtex makes some) after each change. Always wipe front to back, no matter what, and wear cotton panties during your cycle, because they breathe better and won't trap moisture next to your skin. Hope this helps!

You could possibly be allergic to either the cotton that the tampons are made of or if you are using deodorant tampons you could be having an allergic reaction to the perfumes/sents that are used on them. Check with your OB/GYN as you seem to have this problem quite often.

You get like most women do...It is a yeast infection. Go to the pharmacy and tell the pharmacist and she will give you cream to insert like a tampon and in the same box should be a small tube to spread on your labia and clit.

You might try switching to an all natural cotton tampon. You can buy them at Trader Joe's. Have you ever read the warning on a tampon box? They are toxic to your body! You might be having a reaction to your tampons. I would switch right away!

How often do you change your tampons? use pads on your light days for sure and at night time. See if this stops the irritation.

Use cleansing wipes after changing your tampon. Also try using a powder so the area stays a little drier.

It may be a yeast infection...or it's possible that you're allergic to something that the tampon or applicator is made of.
