It sounds like the viscosity changed, the oil pressure changed, and there may have been some metal to metal contact. Some have told me not to use that Slick 50 - I think it would be very difficult to get the maker of the product to be liable as they undoubtedly have disclaimers, etc. Sorry .

I am an assistant manager at an auto repair shop. Why did you use Lucas in the first place? Usually Lucas is used if you are hearing a slight knock in the engine in hopes that it will help. We fully believe in and use Lucas products all the time. If you had metal shavings coming out in the oil, there was a problem before you used the Lucas product. I don't think you will have much luck. As with the other answers, a new engine is your best bet. I don't think you would get anywhere with Lucas and getting money for the vehicle.

Try putting the weight of oil that belongs in, if that doesn't k try running a motor flush through it . It could have sludge build up in the motor and you could just be loosing or gaining to much oil pressure and no because there is no way that you can prove it.

Lucas makes some of the best additives in the world. It was either coincidence or your engine was already shot before you put the Lucas in.

If you had metal in the oil when you drained it, you've found your problem. It's got nothing to do with the Lucas stuff. Time for a teardown.

I'd beg to differ...... lucas oil stabilizer (and it has been proven, and you can try it anytime, anyone of ya) makes the oil foam...., though never oil shavings...., but of course air doesn't lube very well....
Lucas makes overpriced crud.
