If it isn't effecting your family, then exactly what is the problem? Because they are your neighbors, you should try to talk to them first. If they are that loud and obnoxious, I am surprised someone hasn't called the police on them already. You have the right to live peacefully and to be able to sleep at night without your neighbors thoughtless behavior.

When they get to loud and or annoying, it is the time, ive called the police my self a few times as they deal with idiots alot better than i do, im lucky i live in canada, no guns eh

Yep its always good to call the police, best way to win friends and influence enemies. Renting? Move. Buying? Sell. Or drive the other nerd out. Because if you call the cops this is how it will probably end.

Why are you scared? If the police come all they're going to do is tell them that they got a call from someone saying that they were distrubing the peace and to shut the hell up. When should you do this...yesterday.

If you've warned them several times and threatened to call the police at least twice then you should. If they're being obnoxious and it's disturbing you and your family, something needs to be done.

when the neighbors are too loud...
but 1st call the neighbors or knock on their door and tell them thier disturbing the neighborhood...then call the police...if their still loud that is

i think on a weeknight excessive noise after 10.30pm or on the weekend after midnight has every right to be reported to police....especially if it is happening all the time. different if it is a once off/special occassion.

If you feel you and your family is in danger. They could get violent, you never know if alcohol/drugs are involved. I would call now.
