Instead of coming back to the Trojans and avenging his short run in the National Championship last year, White entered the draft and was picked 45th in the second of obscurity.

Instead of being the #1 back in college today, he is the 3rd string RB in Tennessee.

Instead of improving his status in the annals of history and perhaps become the greatest running back USC has ever seen, he chose the money. He could have won the Heisman this year.

So is he the biggest chump to ever don the red jersey?

I'm not labieling him a "pro bust". I wrote that he is a buster. In California lingo, "buster" means someone who runs away from responsibility/adversity. It can also mean a person who comes off as less than credible... which still describes him.

I can show appreciation. Appreciation for Leinart, Bush and even Vince Young. They were great athletes. They left on top of they're game.

On the same token, I can also show hate.

One thing is for sure, LenDale White will never win a Heisman Trophy.

Deese, if you read what I've written, it doesn't show anywhere that I said LenDale White is to be blamed for losing the title game.

The point that I'm trying to get across is that LenDale White ran away from a great opportunity! That is why he is a buster. He can't lead a team. He has always been second string. He could have been better than Bush this year.

Or he could have blown out his knee in the first game of the season (a la Michael Bush - broken leg, Louisville) causing him to plummet even further in the draft. Who knows what kind of season he would have had this year? He knows that his body only has so many years of football left in it. The Heisman trophy isn't going to put food on the table.

In the end it's all a game of hindsight.

However, in his case I happen to agree with you.

Lendale White was one of the great draft steals. He WILL prove himself in the NFL. Why should he go back to USC, with Bush & Leinart ? He already KNOWS how to play college football. Now he can learn te NFL.

So he's # 3 right now - Leinart was 10th pick & he's only #2 in Arizona - so what. Reggie Bush is going to really struggle about 12 games into the season, trying to be an all downs player - or he'll be out injured.

Coming out this year, gives White a year to learn te NFL develop, while still earnin money that he couldn't get at USC.

Then again, maybe he just thinks USC are lame.

Ayo Ease off on my boy LenDale there dawg...He should've come back no doubt I've been thinking about the same thing cuz then our SC was gonna be running the show again. I miss the 21 dude.

He ain't a buster though how you gonna hate on a brother for trying to get that cash?

Put yaself in his shoes, after scoring 3 touchdowns and breaking school records in the championship game, wouldn't you have left for the next level?

Pfffftss.......Stop hating and just cheer for the new trojans instead.

HELL NO! Even though USC loss the championship game to Texas, LenDale White still scored 3 touchdowns! More than Reggie Bush! Don't blame White for losin! Blame the defense! What kind of question is that?

White is intended to be the future featured RB in Tennessee. Before labeling him a pro bust, give him a year or two. He's already #2 on the depth chart, and it seems likely that Chris Brown will be playing elsewhere next year.

You can't really evaluate an NFL draft until three years later. Don't get so negative about White when he's only one game into his rookie season!

Nah he made the right choice. Bush is apparrently the biggest chump if all the stuff that just came out is true. Why would you do things like that when you know you are going to make millions like he is? That guy is a chump.
