A doctor can induce labor, that's the easiest. Go to the ER and tell them how far along you are. They will do something about it.

Having sex, or more specifically orgasm and gentle penetration can help induce labor.

Look up online and see what it is you're NOT supposed to do in your second trimester because it can cause premature labor, and do those things. Things like walking, heavy lifting, lots of moving around and being active.

I know how you feel -- I was nearly two weeks overdue when my daughter was finally born. I was waddling around like a penguin for weeks, I could hardly sleep, I was cranky and hungry all the time. My husband was as patient as Job, but even he got tired of waiting; the doctors told us of all sorts of things that other people did, i.e., a tablespoon of castor oil (not highly recommended), sex every night (very tiring) and really spicy foods at night (not very enjoyable -- heartburn). The best (and most healthy) thing to do is to wait it out. The baby is not a bird in the oven, s/he will get here when they're ready and not a minute sooner -- sorry if that doesn't help, just know that when it happens you will be so happy when it's over and your little person is here -- s/he will be worth the wait, believe me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sex is suppose to help so my husband and I did it a lot but it didn't cause me to go into labor. I do think though that the sex helped me dialate. When I was checked at 37 weeks I was dialated to a 3 so my dr stripped my membranes at 38 weeks. Three days later I was dialated to a four and so she stripped them again and I went into labor that night. When I arrived at the hospital I was dialated to a five. I didn't even have one contraction until I went into labor. This was my first pregnancy and no one in my family has ever dialated like that. So yes have sex it will help even if it does not put you in labor, it will help with your labor. Getting your membranes stripped is very painful. It only takes 1-2 minutes and only hurts the first time. I had my son 9 days early..it was worth it. If I can give you one tip its get an epidural so you can really enjoy your labor. I sat up to push and watched my baby come out, it was so cool. Good luck I hope your baby comes soon.

Try having some sex, sometimes that gets things going. Although, I remember being 9 months pregnant, you don't feel like gettin' in on, that's for sure! Going for some brisk walks might also help. And some also say taking cod liver oil works. I didn't have the nerve to put that stuff down my throat though! Congratulations in advance! Being a mom is the best thing I've ever experienced in my life!

Hi
First of all congratulations on your pregnancy.
If u r past ur due date ask consult your doctor. she may want to wait for a week or so. if still no progress then she may want to induce you.
just keep the routine thing going on - eat well, walk a lot, sleep well.
the baby is still not ready to come out & see the world. so just let it happen naturally. till then enjoy these precious moments which u r going to miss after u have the baby.
the best thing wud be to feel the baby's movements. i used to love that feeling. & now i dont remember how exactly were the baby's movements.
so i wud just say that enjoy the present. for very soon they r going to be past & i wud always say that try to make the present the best of all so that it be a memorable past.

ALL THE BEST...

Walk A LOT! It stimulates the muscles and can cause contractions. Or you could try swimming laps. It supposedly takes the pressure off of your body and when you relax, you can start having contractions. I've also heard that having sex may help but I'm not sure about that one. If all else fails, you can always get your doctor to induce you.

Sex is supposed to be the best for onset of labor. I've also read (and been told by my doctor) that masturbation will sometimes onset labor (because we know what pleases us... we end up having a much stronger orgasm). I can't imagine sex would be high on your want to do list... but the masturbation is always fun. If you have a handheld shower head... I'd recommend a date right away.
I'm not kidding...

People who need to be induced are given the drug petosin to start labor. Our body naturally produce this drug. How you ask? Playing with your nipples will produce this. So while your on the couch watching a movie either you or your significant other can enjoy the pleasure.Having you or your other make you have a orgasm or multipul also can help contractions to begin.

well I have heard that 10 months pregnancy is definetely a full term and to get the baby out should be talked with the ob/gyn and possible have a c-section if you don't deliver naturally....

the last two weeks i was also desperate to try anything. we tried sex multiple times but that didn't seem to do anything. i then tried my personal massager. i don't know if it was just coincidence or what but i was having contractions an hour later. so masturbation would be my recommendation.
