The West has no problems whatsoever with Muslims. Muslims have a problem with the West. A resort in Italy has recently purchased some beach property with the sole purpose of creating a private area for Muslim women to sunbathe. Las Vegas casinos hire individuals knowledgeable in Middle Eastern customs in order to make Muslim guests feel welcome. Do you see any Muslim nations do this? Nope, sure don't. Muslim extremists declared war on us, the West, 70 years ago. We are not on a "cultural high horse," we are under attack by culturally intolerant scum. We don't support the intentional bombings of schools, homes, and hospitals, as 73% of Iranian Muslims do regarding attacks against Israel and/or the US (according to an AP Poll from August). We have every right to fight, and annihilate extreme Islam.

Shelley I can't believe that you are making excuses for the actions of radical muslims. Hey Shelley I have a question how many riots broke out around the western world when The President of Iran questioned whether the Holocaust actually happened.
Radical Islam threatens the world and people like you who make excuses for their actions. Muslims are burning churches in the west bank because the Pope read an old medieval text.
The Islamic faith is not the religion of peace that so many people decribe.

The Muslims are culturally far different from Westerners. Because they live in theocracies, in which the government = the religion, to attack Islam is to attack their government.
In order to understand Muslims, Westerners must become educated about Muslims' beliefs and cultural practices. That way you'll understand why they act the way they do. Believe me, they probably are appalled at half the stuff Westerners do, too!
For example: threatening to have a worldwide nuclear war to settle once and for all which government was better (Cold War)
allowing women and children to go homeless
These are just two examples of many.
Get off your cultural high horse and realize that every culture has its own standards and practices and that just as you are outraged at what some Muslims do, they're undoubtedly outraged at what we do.
