If she thinks that she may have PCOS then she needs to see a doctor and have her insulin levels checked as well as have an ultrasound. DOctors can give metamorfin to help with this. I am not sure about raw foods.

A friend of mine has PCOS, and yes, you WILL gain weight. There is also an increased risk of diabetes. Tell her to go to her doctor ASAP, it won't get better on it's own!

PCOS can be due to insulin overproduction causing other chemical reactions that cause the ovary sac to change into a cyst. Other conditions that can be caused by insulin overproduction are hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and diabetes (among others). Hypoglycemia can result in weight gain (mine did). If she goes to the doctor, she should ask for a fasting blood insulin test to determine if her problem is indeed due to high insulin.

For mine, I was recommended red raspberry, either in capsule or tea form one week before ovulation and one week after. I believe it prevented them for me.

Why does she think she has it? Weight gain is a huge side effect. Most women that have this are obese. They also have extra hair growth on their bodies. Tell your friend not to assume she has anything and get tested for it.
