Shakespeare. So many lines from his plays have been used. They have changed thru out the centuries in order for other people to call them their own.

I think it's definitely Shakespeare (in English-speaking countries). The most-quoted book is probably the Bible (even non-religious people will still quote from it sometimes). Again, that's in Westernized countries.

I would have to say from personal experience, Leonardo Da Vinci and Ben Franklin. If you go to any site on quotes there will be a lot from those two gentlemen.

the holy trinity -
essentially, the bible which is believed to be 'written by god, dictated to his apostles'. the 10 commandments perhaps too, the golden rule is heard everywhere. the holy trinity is 3 person yet 1 person at the same time, soo um basically theyre telling you to defy all logic and believe something translated & passed down through 1000's of years.

Jesus Christ, but He is God also, not just person.
If not, then Benjamin Franklin. He poured a lot of wisdom into Poor Richard's Almanac
