how come they can cry the second they are born?

because the first breath out of the womb is a shock to them and they go from nice and warm to sterile and cold. wouldnt that make you madder than hell,lol it would me,
in one of my daughters ultra sounds, she smiles

In the womb they are basically under water. Can you cry under water? as soon as they come out thier lungs fill with air for the first time then they can cry. When you cry if you think about it you gasp for air right??? usually crying gets people breathing hard. ok so I was wrong. At least I can admit that. Check out the video

I'm not sure if babies can cry in the womb, but they cry when they come out because they have to open their lungs, and get all the fluid out because they've been in water for nine months..

yes,babies do cry in the womb look u can try this web site "www.national geographic.com/in the womb" and it will tell u everything sweety.also they yawn,suck their little thumb,play,everyhting.

yes they can. but of course you can't hear them because their lungs are filled with fluid so they can't actually make any noise . but they can and do cry.
