my husbands, cousin and his wife said that artificial insemination wasn't really that much, maybe around 1200.-1500.00 but the medicine that she had to take was super duper expensive, and alot of insurances do not cover that type of medication., but occasionally some do. i never did ask her about weather you can pick a gender or not, they just put in 4 fertilized eggs and she ended up with faternile twin boys out of out. ... I hope i'm telling you this properly..

putting in already fertilized eggs is not artificial insemination...it is invitro fertilization. Artificial insemination(or IUI) is where they inseminate the woman with carefully prepared sperm to increase her chance of getting pregnant. Invitro costs anywhere from
12,000 dollars and up...IUI is usually between 1,000 and 2,000.
How do i know this you ask? Because I am currently going through it. As for gender selection, I would imagine it would be done with invitro and raise the price quite a bit.
Good Luck
