Co-workers and neighbors fall into this catagory. Allies fight your battles, take your side, and usually are in more frequent contact. F*ck-buddies and gamers usually fall into this catagory.

Because some people truly are your friend. These are the ones that will tell you if you have a booger haning from your nose as opposed to the one that says they are your friend but would let you walk around all day with the thing hanging there.

Because they lack a sense of honor and loyalty. Bad times are equal to pretty much life lessons. People tend to forget those lessons learned as well.
