It's called a flourish or fanfare, and may depend on the nation that is being represented. Some countries have a traditional one, just like the Marines play 'Hail to the Chief' when the President gets off Air Force One. Some characters have a particular piece of music associated with them, like the Darth Vader theme., This can be played in a variety of ways, like a march (as he approaches) a pensive or thoughful mood (when he is thinking of the past), or other moods.
