I bet it's going to be for the cubs.
To bad Loria is such an ***, they could have the club of the future... That jerk makes more money in profit sharing than he pays his whole team....

I agree that it would be great if he does stay in Florida, but they way he and Loria are butting heads he may end up somewhere else. Remember Loria is the one who bought the WS a couple years ago, he had some great young pitching also, but why didn't he do it in Montreal when he had great young talent. I feel dorry for anyone who has to play for the prick. Anyone agree or have any other light on the question?

I agree that he will be in Chi-town with the Cubs. I wish this for 2 reasons:

1) I like the Cubs and would love to have him.

2) Loria is a jacka$$, Girardi deserves something better.

I think Girardi will be with the Cubs next year, but the Phillies would be nuts to not go after him when Girardi is fired.

Let's think about this. Most of us were expecting the Marlins to play like the beginning of the first Major League movie, but they are still in striking distance with 2 weeks to go.

If (or should I say when) Charlie Manuel gets fired, Pat Gillick needs to go after 2 men, Lou Piniella and Joe Girardi. If the Phils can somehow pull off Girardi becoming the Phils manager, I think the Phils can win the World Series by 2008.

I would love the Cubs to pick up Girardi...himself playing behind the dish for a time there. If the marlins give him up Chicago will sign him.....by the way, he is NL Manager of the Year.

I hope he stays in Florida!! I hope they become great....because what they did was the correct way to build a great club..they got rid of all the old guys and got great young talent..they deserve a great manager in Girardi more than anyone..Also, Go Yankees!!!!

The Cubs will fire Baker, and Girardi would be a great fit. At the very least he would handle the pitching staff better.

I'm hoping it's the Cubs. The Cubs need someone that knows how to play the game. Dusty's smoke and mirrors routine is lame.

Florida...I agree with the fact that they'd be stupid to get rid of him...especially since he is getting Manager of the Year talk. He's done a great job with them, considering what a young, young team they are..

FLORIDA MARLINS -- they would be stupid to get rid of him; it is a young team with a young coach -- they could become a dynasty if they stick together
