I am having a scheduled C Section on Sept 29th but I think my date could have been off so I may be a week more preg than I thought. My doctor told me NO SEX at 32 weeks because I was having contractions but would it be ok now that I an considered "full term"? I just want ot have this baby already!!! any suggestions on getting him out would be greatly appriciated. I'm not shy and open to any answers. I will not be offended.

People are miss-reading I think... I was told no sex at 32 weeks but I am almost 38 WEEKS NOW

The ONLY reason I need a C section is because I had one with my first son and my doctor doesnt do VBAC's (unfortunately). I would love to have a vaginal birth but my doctor knows my history and I am comfortable with her. NO MEDICAL REASONS!!! I'm just like every other mom. If i go into labor.... so be it she said, we will just do C Section early. She said whenever he wants to come is up to him :)

Sex at this point could cause you to go into labor. Stimulating your nipples could do the same thing. But if your little one is not ready to come, no amount of coaxing on your part or the doctor's will make him/her enter the world.

I delivered my first baby at 37 weeks and dont know if these are the real reasons why but I think it def helped. I power walked EVERY day in the last few weeks of pregnacy. After walking only a few nights I had a dr appt and when she checked me I was 100% effaced and dialated to a 2. I figured If I had gotten that far after being NOTHING the week before...it had to be from the walking. After we found that out....I WALKED and WALKED until I felt my legs would fall off and my husband and I had sex A LOT (prostaglandins in sperm help to start contractions and dialate your cervix.) Only five days later...I went into the DR for an appt and I was 6/7 centimeters! So try those two things....also I have heard of drinking castor oil in orange juice and raspberry tea...I have friends that swear by that! Good Luck to you!

Sorry honey but u need to listen to the docs there is a reason they are what they are. But ideas in ways to help anything along bfore the c section try walking every day at the mall or the park nearest to you it help me have my little boy before they were going to induce me. And I had him natural. I have had two and i know how u feelwith the whole "getting it out of me " phase. And if worst comes to worst wait til the 29th. By the way my doctor told me that its not only bad for the baby but bad for you if do have sex when instructed not to.

The short and sweet answer is yes, they say sex increases the chance of labor. I was being induced with mine and they just about sent us home (for sex) to get it going.
However, do not do it without asking first. The dr will tell you what the chances of doing harm would be.
The biggest problem I see is that you have to have a CSection and having sex will start the natural birth process going.

Try walking, some ladies swear by eating spicy foods. I have also heard that nipple stimulation could put you in labor. My question is, if you are scheduled to have a C-section why are you trying to put yourself in labor? Will it do any harm to you or the baby? I opted to have a scheduled C-section with my first child because I didn't want the emergency cut they may have performed if I tried it natural, he was breech. So try to follow your Docs recommendation. It's for your safety.

Give your doctor a call tomorrow and see what he says about the sex thing. I'm sure it's probably not a big deal, but it's better just to check. I know how you feel, the last 3 (then 4 weeks, my daughter was a week late) seem endless.

Old wives' tales are bumpy roads and spicy food to induce labor. I ate a lot of Indian food (tikka masala!!) before I went into labor - it may have helped, but I don't think there is any science to back those ideas up. Good luck and congrats on the new baby (when he decides to get here!)

I know you want your baby out already because you want to hold him and cuddle him but your baby will come when he's ready your not full term at 32 but if your baby was born then he would be fine your considered full term at 40 weeks

The longer the baby can stay in the better for it's health. Every woman want the pregnancy to end by your stage....but every day the baby is in is better for the baby's lungs to mature. Hang in there....you won't be pregnant forever!! Also enjoy it because once the baby is here....it is no longer your own schedule you will be following.

i would try having sex again but it i would wait at least another week! i know how you feel i had my second baby 2 weeks ago i had contractions early and they put me on medicine and by the end of this pregnancy i was soooooo ready to have the baby that i started drinking rasberry leaf tea and taking evening primrose to soften my cervix (which worked by the way) anyways there are all kind of ways to self induce! check out this website http://www.maternitycorner.com/mcmag/articles/preg0007.html
good luck!
