Love2read,
You should
never stop if
you enjoy it.
As far as I'm
concerned,
do it till you
drop!
Go girl!

Who says you have to quit? My sister's boyfriend still loves to go trick or treating when he gets the chance and he's in his mid 30s.

It really shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks of it if it makes you happy.

I'd say sometime during middle school/junior hight, unless s/he is taking younger children out as well. (Then the person is old enough to go to or host parties!) Then there is a break in trick-or-treating until the person has kids of their own, then they should dress up too to get extra loot!

I found out that by the time you are 13, people start to object, but let's face it, if you're 17 and walking around at night bored and there's nothing else going on, you can knock on a door, get a lecture about how old you are, and get a free candy bar. That was forty years ago. I don't do it any more, but I'll bet I'd still get a lecture and a candy bar. Go for it! God helps them that help themselves.

it doesnt matter how old you are. what matters is having fun. im 13 and i still trick or treat with friends. if trick or treating bores you then you should stop and hand out candy to see all the cool costumes. what i like best is going with friends and going through haunted houses and freaking the crap out of me. oh ya and the candy is cool too!

I think 12 is still ok. Go out with a group of friends just don't destroy any thing or other the little kids-older than that you probably need to find another activity to celebrate the holiday

It doesn't have to do with age. It has to do with height and the pitch of your voice. If you're female and never get any taller than about five feet, you can trick or treat until you're 79 (with a mask on) and no one will be the wiser. If you're male you should quit when your voice changes or when you get taller than about 5"5'.

If you still want to go ahead and enjoy. In my neighborhood the teenagers appear to enjoy as much as the children. I have two children 16 and 5 y/o and they both enjoy going. Have fun, you are only a child once. Enjoy.
