The best comedy to be imported into the UK from America in recent years has to be Scrubs. I would just like to say though we recieve a lot of rubbish. Does anybody actually watch Hope and Faith, Rodney, 8 simple rules and that sitcom with Eric roberts in it and actually laugh out loud? P.s no need to mention the Simpsons, its in a league of its own.

I've never watched any of those shows. I'm more into reality shows. I never watch soap opera's either. I enjoy a few shows that aren't classified as reality. I like Grey's Anatomy and CSI.

If indeed that is the rubbish being sent over to the UK, let me be the first to apologize. Although, never have watched any of the programs you mentioned, except for the Simpsons.
On the flip side, I am an American, and my British boyfriend groans whenever I mention that I find "Keeping Up Apperances" to be a bit funny. Ditto for "Are you being Served", and "Barbara"...
So, maybe we're even? LOL

I tried to watch hope and faith and sometimes i would chuckle. I never waste time on Rodney and 8 simple rules was much funnier with John Ritter may he rest in peace.

George Lopez is pretty funny, but that is about it. I have never seen any of the other sitcoms, and I have never heard anyone even mention them before

Unfortunately yes, people actually laugh at this tripe. I, however, tend to steer clear of this vacuous, mind-numbing garbage. Give me a good book or the History Channel ANY day.

8 simple rules is funny........not so much for the other, but I love scrubs, I always watch it every monday night straight after Boston Legal(my personal fave)
