I sold a Super Bowl picture of the Washington Redskins team.
I think it was 1989. Exact same pictures sold for $60. Mine sold for $40. I lost money on the deal. The buyer wanted me to pay his freakin' shipping and handling charges. So, to make the sale, I caved. I paid his freakin', @#%^^%, m*!#@#, Fu@%!, shipping and handling charges and lost about the $10 I hoped to make on it. Have not been back to EBay because of this ever since. It was the only item I ever sold. I listed five other items that did not sell. Lost a total of $40 (estimate) on EBay posting fees.

Yeah, I bought my leathers (see my avatar?) on Ebay ... jacket and pants both for less than $50! Cool. I've bought a bunch of stuff (electronics, toys, art) and generally had good luck with the system. But beware of scammers and cheats and identity theft (like the fake email asking you to enter your password!). And always use PayPal ... do not send a check. Money orders are okay for some purchases.
Cheers.

I bought some dirty roman coins off of e-bay. They come covered in 2000 year old dirt and you clean them up. Pretty cool stuff:)
