Do you get an error message or soes something else happen?

You may not be able to get to the router because of a configuration or connectivity problem. Check network connfiguration and also make sure all cables are firmly seated.

I you are looking for the actual WEP key, sometimes it is printed on the router along with the MAC address and ESS ID. Take a look on the bottom or back of the router.

You have to be cabled to the router to connect to it.

if htttp://192.168.1.1 doesn't work for linksys router, than someone may have changed it. some computer on your network may list the IP address of the router as a gateway.

If all else fails, you may have to reset the router to the factory defaults and reconfigure.

First, when entering 192.168.1.1, do NOT enter http://

If that still doesn't work, reset the router and then it should go back to the default 192.168.1.1 because it had to have been changed

Also, make sure you're connecting via a wired connection, not wireless
