Me personally, I don't feel as if someones religion needs to be shoved down someone elses throat. Most christians don't realize they only discourage us from taking their religion seriously. But, nobody really knows what happens to our "souls". Have you seen your soul? I haven't seen mine. So I highly doubt it needs to be saved. Hell is a creation of christians, and it was created to scare children into going to church every sunday.
Anyways, christians think they are "holy" once they are 'saved' and believe they need to spread the word. In reality they are just as bad as the people that decide not to be devout, or even believe in religion. A true christian person does not judge, and is compassionate, caring, and nurturing. Very rarely have I ran into a christian that has those qualities.
So, this is for all the christians that post: Don't judge people just because they dont have the same oppinion. Don't force your beliefs down the non-believers throats. It's our choice of how we think or feel, and no matter how many bibles you give us at Christmas we will not change our point of view. Do you think we could sway you to become an Athiest? That's what I thought!
Go ahead and pray for our souls, but God will not take us if we don't go to him! So save your breath and pray for yourself.

Hmmm... if you mean when they do general prayers and say "God lead the unsaved souls to your glory" or something like that, then it's similar to when you're mom says "Be nice to the other kids" on you're first day of school. Yes, the saving of your soul is important, but its kind of a generalization.
If you mean, when people ask if you're soul has been saved or if you would like it to be, they are most likely missionaries or want to lead you into their religion where they truly believe you will have a better life. Some people really do have better lives after they are saved, it's not just propaganda. My life was bettered because it gave me something to focus my energies on. I HAVE NOT SETTLED ON A RELIGION, but I do pray to a general Higher Power.
You're soul cannot be saved unless you ask AND truly want to be saved.
As for who He is and why so many are loyal... What is love and why do so many people want to find it? Why is the sky blue and always up? It's not easy to explain, nor is it a simple He is this guy Joe I met the other week kinda answer. Every one defines Him differently and has different reasons why they turned to Him.
As for aetheists and non-believers of Heaven: When we're dead, we may not meet God, but at least we had something to believe in. When we're dead, we very well might meet God and be able to look on His face and know true happiness. Truth is, no one knows what is out there, but some of us want to BELIEVE! Is that so wrong?

I am christian, but I have some views that are different from most. I love everyone. I have gay realitives, I love them and hang out with them but I don't agree with everything they do. I pray for people to come to God so they can have a better life. I love tons of people but I don't always love what they do. If you don't want your soul to be saved that is not a problem w/ me I bet you are a good person, there are good people that aren't christians, and aren't saved.

Your soul DOES need to be saved.
Whether or not you WANT it to be saved is your business.
But you should do the research to see what you're signing up for before you state that you want to die with an unsaved soul.
God is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth and everything in it. He came in the form of Jesus and died when he was 33 years old. Because He never sinned He was a perfect sacrafice for us. He decided to give His life so that we wouldn't have to go to hell for all of our mistakes. (John 3:16).
Of course we try to tell people about it! Wouldn't you try to tell people about it if you found out that you were just saved from sending an eternity in a firey pit of torment?!?!?
Whether or not you want to do this is up to you. I'm only telling you because you asked. I'm not trying to cram this down your throat or anything. But according to the Holy Bible, you need to repent of your sins, be baptized in Jesus name, and pray to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:38) Please click on the link below that my church set up to answer questions just like this.
I pray that you find the truth.

Because we love you. We not only met God, but we try to, at all times, keep our hearts connected to His. (Hopefully there is hardly a time that it isn't.) Sorry, I don't love you as much as He does, but He's much bigger than I am and has a bigger heart.
Heaven is a perfect place. If you put something imperfect in the place then it won't be perfect anymore. God loves you, yes, you and wants to spend eternity with you in heaven. But your screw ups/bad karma/sin/imperfection makes that impossible. So He paid the price to get you home. He's got your redemption coupon, your "wash your sins away" soul wash receipt, your free ticket into heaven, you don't have to take it, you have free will to choose. He's not going to force you.
On the other hand a run-away rebellious servant, the devil (and his minions), who is out to stab God (his FORMER boss/creator) in the back, is going around telling lies about God to you and everyone else. He had other people pawn the lies off on you, he even had you "think it up yourself". Are you going to believe all that negative stuff about the most positive guy in the Universe and beyond?
You want to meet God? Just ask him. Say something like, "God, in Jesus name, be Real to me". Now, if you want the free ticket, then you can turn toward God, ask for his forgivness, let Him know that you accept that he sent a part of Himself, Jesus, to earth to pay for your sins, and you accept the redemption. If you do that, you don't have to work your way into heaven, like the other religions offer. But when you keep Him in your heart, being nice just comes naturally. And 'cause you love Him better than a Dad (he is your heavenly Father), you don't want to hurt Him by messing up on purpose. Sure, your human, you'll mess up He knows that, He's even prepared for that. Oh, and the really cool part is you can ask to be baptized with His Holy Spirit. That is the part of Him that he sends to be with you. Getting this is like, totally awesome. And you can get gifts too! 1st Corinthians chapter 12. Like healing, translating other languages, leadership, miracles, the list goes on.
Come on, give it a try, you can always take it back, but get to know the real God first. And remember, the devil is a great imposter and can fool, even you. So if god seems foul, it isn't God.

First it's God's will that none perish-die and go to hell.
That why his son Jesus went to the cross to pay our sin debt.
He did the will of his Father. Became the substitute for our sins.
Christian believers know that hell is perdition. Agony beyond description.
The power of prayer is our most powerful tool.
Asking God to intercede on one's behalf.
James 5:16 says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”
We hold the attention, love, and mercy of the Omnipotent Father in Heaven who “removes kings and establishes kings” (Dan. 2:21). Prayer is the avenue to an audience of the most powerful ruler of all.
Christian believers pray for all souls. That is the AMAZING GRACE of GOD!
LOVE.

Are you not afraid of death? Not afraid of the unknown? Then do as you wish and seal your own fate. We CHRISTIANS are doing what we believe is right and GOOD by trying to SAVE your soul even though you don't care. You should take it as a compliment when a christian wants to help you get saved, it means they care about your fate, which is more than I can say for you.

Not only Christians. Religion is about control and most religious people are controlling; they feel the power of God as opposed to someone who wants the joy of thinking things over and discovering answers for Ono's self. Most religious people are well-meaning and not aware how offensive it is when they keep directly implying that I need to be saved from my self.. thinking.. not listening to them and having this obtuse blind faith they seem to value over good thinking.
