First of all...Crickets feed on just about anything. This includes
dead insects, live insects, silk, wool, man-made fabric,
paper, wood, and just about anything we eat. Crickets
can make the most from a compost pile and will readily
nest anywhere garbage accumulates. You can also expect to
have them nesting around moist areas where water
accumulates or where mold and algae may be growing.

Thus... do as I do when I move to a different house.. I buy a caulk gun at Home Depot and tubes of caulking.. several.. I caulk every crack that I see around the foundation.. electrical openings.. even the tv wire openings if any... and making sure that there are no cracks around the window casings and door casings.... Also d not make the mistake I did.. I brought in some old boxes from the garage and did not know that there were cricket and cricket eggs inside so be careful with that.

Also... you can place cricket bait around the house. eave trough areas and any area where is moist.. Many people say this is a good idea to get the crickets before they want to get inside. I do not do that because there are kitties that neighbors have and there are birds and I do not want to poison any of them.. so..Twice a year I spray the outside foundation area of the house with a VERY VERY GOOD spray that will kill anything to include termites.

Seriously, my cat loves to eat crickets! I think they are like peanut brittle to her the way she crunches them!
