The sad thing is if your frined DOES have an eating disorder, there isn't really much you could do to stop her. She has to want to on her own.
Having said that......
Are you sure that your friend has NO other ailments? I often get sick after eating because of a bowel disorder. SO JUST because she is getting sick, doesn't mean she does have an ED.
The good news is this, No matter if you throw up immediately after eating, or not, there will still be some nutritional vlaue from the food that is retained.
However, vomiting is hard on the stomach, esophagus, teeth...etc.

dThere is not time limit to vomit. If you suspect your friend of having an eating disorder, talk to her. Do you notice weight loss? Trust your feelings. If you are not getting any where with talk to your friend then be her friend and tell her parents or husband or if in high school student adviser. She will deny it but go with your feelings and help her by telling others to help to help her

Most people say about 30 minutes.
If she does have and eating disorder she may be trying to be less obvious by not getting sick right after eating (obviously you can see right through it though. good for you!)
Hope your friends okay <3

YOU START DIGESTING WHEN YOU ARE CHEWING. YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE CHEATING THE CALORIES, BUT YOU ARE FOOLING YOURSELF.
BULEMICS STARVE THEMSELVES UNTIL THEY EVENTUALLY GIVE IN AND BINGE EAT, THEN THEY IMMEDIATELY THROW IT ALL UP BECAUSE THEY FEEL GUILTY. THIS IS A REALLY UNHEALTHY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT, BUT SOME GIRLS DON'T THINK MUCH ABOUT THEIR FUTURES.
WHEN YOU VOMIT, YOU UPSET YOUR BODY'S POTASSIUM LEVELS AND THAT'S WHAT CAN CAUSE YOUR HEART TO BEAT IRREGULARLY. RMEMEBER TERRY SHAIVE (ON THE NEWS IN A PERSISTANT VEGETATIVE STATE)? TERRY SHAIVO BARFED UP SO MUCH FOOD HER HEART STOPPED, BUT SHE WAS REVIVED, AND STAYED IN A PERSISTANT VEGETATIVE STATE. SHE HAD IRREVERSIBLE BRAIN DAMAGE, AND HER PARENTS FAUGHT WITH HER HUSBAND, WHO WANTED TO REMOVE HER FEEDING TUBE TO LET HER DIE WITH DIGNITY.
NOT ONLY ARE YOU AT RISK FOR HEART FAILURE, BUT YOUR STOMACH ACID ERODES THE LINING OF YOUR ESOPHAGUS, THROAT, AND WEARS THE ENAMEL OFF YOUR TEETH, WHICH EVENTUALLY TURN BROWN. IT DEHYDRATES YOUR SKIN, AND MAKES YOU AGE MORE QUICKY. YOU CAN ALSO MESS UP YOUR REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS, YOUR KIDNEYS, LIVER, AND PANCREAS.
EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT ACTUALLY ABOUT FOOD, THOUGH THEY MANIFEST IN THE PERSON FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE TO CONTROL THEIR WEIGHT AND BODY. IT IS A MENTAL DISEASE, WHERE THE PERSON FEELS THEY HAVE TO OVERCOMPENSATE FOR FEELINGS THAT THEY LACK CONTROL OVER THEIR LIVES. THEY CON THEMSELVES INTO THINKING THEY ARE IN CONTROL, AND ARE DISCIPLINED, BUT THEY DON'T REALIZE HOW SICK THEY ARE.
GO TO A SEARCH ENGINE AND LOOK UP PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATES, AND LOOK FOR A LOCATION NEAREST YOU. A PSYCHOLOGIST WILL BE ABLE TO HELP THE PERSON DISCOVER SOME HEALTHIER COPING SKILLS AND A BETTER PLAN, THAT WILL NOT DESTROY THEM.

as soon as the food leaves the stomach and begins its voyage through the intestines, it begins to be absorbed into the bloodstream. As long as it is still in the stomach, and has not crossed into the intestines, it can still be regurgitated, along with the harsh stomach acids that are digesting them. And if I remember correctly, the esophogus gets pretty upset when it has to habitually get rid of stomach acid.

It doesnt really matter. She could throw up 5minutes or an hour. if you suspect it, it probably is true.
