is this a trick question in pschology? helicopters only fly when the pilot wants them too. they cant think for themselves.
police helicopters provide surveillance and will beam in on persons and vehicals being persued. at any time of day or night.

Helicopters do fly at night. Police , the military, and life-flight helicopters are just a few that do a lot of nighttime flying.

Have you ever seen search and rescue helicopters the coast guards use at night, or police use them with infra red to find criminals running in the dark? Med Vacs fly all hours so you probably have seen it or heard of it.

YES they can fly at night they are not cars or vehicles if we drive we need lights to see in front of us

they are controlled by atc air traffic control units and other flight control divisions they use aerodynamic degrees & altimeters & degress like{35dgreesouth 415degree east altude 2000m etc[these are not real mesures i just show it]}

they not look at mirror like vehichles, for them night ride and day is same and equal but in bad weather pretty risky

for military purpose nightvision is also applied

Thats one of the reasons, FLIR- Forward Looking Infrared Radar was put on police helicopters. To find people were normally you would have trouble, or not be able to see them at all, such as thick brush, and in woodlands.

Yes they do...especially police helicopters when they are looking for someone and they have gotten away from the police...they shine those huge search lights down

i've never seen any helicopters flying at night but aeroplanes..a lot..i live next to the airport
