The Vietnam War was a huge mistake. Our country was not being attacked. We lost 55,000 American boys and god knows how many are maimed and crippled. I don't understand why it got like this, but politically speaking, the North and South should've fought the war amongst themselves.
How do I feel about your country. As long as your country prospers and doesn't take a hardnose attitude towrd the US, I would not hold anything against your country. If those who come to this country are law abiding citizens and they try to be good citizens, that's all we can ask. It's been so many years now, but We will never forget our lost boys who died and those who are crippled and maimed the rest of their lives. Your country had the same, your country lost boys and many are still suffering, but I do hope that everyone realizes that War is not the answer.

I don't know anything but what I have read or heard on TV. I have heard it is a very beautiful and that the people are very kind and nice. And from the nice and polite tone of your question, I guess this must be quite true.
I felt bad that we couldn't do more for South Vietnam during the war. Basically, we pulled out and abandoned you all, taking with us as many as we could. It was such a bad situation. We lost so many young men to a war we couldn't win.

I think USA didn't have any business being over there.
It was a lost cause because they straightened out there own problems when the Americans left.
If Americans would mind there own business and stay out of foreign wars we would all be better off. Especially the other countries.

Wasted effort of time, money, and lives on the US part. At least USA learnt not to poke their nose in other people's affairs at places so far from their own.
