I have not found many occurances of it. Does anyone else see the absurbity, not just on yahoo, but everywhere around us?

NO!!! As long as you have questions calling President Bush a lier, a war criminal and 9/11 was a inside job, you
will continue to have "Third Grade Arguments" because there are probably 3rd grade people on here or the
terrorists, themselves, might be on Yahoo Questions and Answers trying to stir the pot a little more.

On this board it seems to be the norm... more so among the Bush haters, but the other side has some children also.

It's true and it's mostly due to ignorance. People don't really know enough to make a logical argument so they just spout nonsense and insults.

Yes. It just requires both/all involved to respect the other person's beliefs and opinions, even if they disagree.

Sadly, such respect for different opinions is becoming more and more rare as time goes by. Almost as if intolerance and prejudice were some type of contagious mental disease spreading across the species.

Only if they believe the same thing. It's hard to discuss politics with someone who belongs to another party.

You are right. But what has happened is its more important to prove your right than prove facts. And its easier to do that with name calling.

And the best part is when you " Know " you're right you don't have to explain it to anyone.
