I mean, would you report them to the Department of Homeland Security so that they could be sent to Guantanamo Bay?

In the interests of National Security?

Heyyyyyy, Big Brother - don't jump to conclusions! If you look at my profile you will see what side of the fence I'm on. Be cool.

I'm just interested in what people have to say, don't be so quick to judge.

I can see why democrats are so hated though - you are VERY quick to judge and take the high moral tone. It's kind of nauseating.

I find it sad when I think of how many soldiers died to protect our freedoms. One of the most important being the freedom of speech and to assemble and protest. That is what a Democracy is all about. Republicans seem to want this country to be a Nationalist Dictatorship. If Bush and the Repubs have their way it will be the rise of the 4th Reich here in America.

That is the most UN-American thing I've heard in a long time. That's what led to Americans of Japanese ancestry being racially profiled, arrested, robbed, and imprisoned in WW2. It was also the cause of McCarthyism and Blacklisting back in the 50s. At it's logical extreme it's the attitude that let Germans herd Jewish women and children into ovens and feel good about it. It was in the interest of National Security. You should be sent to Guantanamo Bay, stripped of all civil rights, held indefinitely without trial, and subjected to torture for a year, then see if you still advocate doing that to others.

If you want to report someone for being antI-American becuase they are giving their opinion, which is a right protected by the 1st Amendment,

Than you are Anti-American to the CORE

Edit: Whoa, I didnt jump to any conclusion. I answered your question. Maybe my tense was not used correctly.
So I will re-phrase so I don't get jumpe on for "categorizing" YOU.

If ONE were inclined to report a fellow American to the office of homeland security for giving their opinion, than that person(whoever they may be) is anti-American and needs to learn the Constitution.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom... go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels nor arms. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -Samuel Adams

One of the jobs or projects of the NSA is to watch for language that would suggest just that. I am sure they are monitoring this site along with many many more.

Together we stand...divided we fall.

I believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

That's a big fat no.

I wish we could send a handful of democrats and people from the NY times that have been unpatriotic over to Iran so they can understand what we're up against.
