I will not even pretend to understand what athiests hate or do not hate. I do pray for them an let it in God's hands. But ultimately God left us free will and they can choose what to believe or hate.

If someone turns out to be false - everyone will shun that person, until they redeem themselves. That's part of being human we are working on: NOT being False.
I'm Roman Catholic, and hold people to this standard, also. Well, I try not to hate them, but I am very sad to learn a person is NOT as true as they pretend to be.
I know humans fail, so I am very careful not to embarrass my son, Kenny, or my family, by being false.

They don't hate God...they just don't believe in God.You're right....how could they hate someone or something that they believe doesn't exist?

Not that they hate... they just don't care.. clear?
I am not defending them, but I understand their point of view.
They don't want to get confused between all those varieties of beliefs and everything.

Who do they hate?
If you're referring to God, they don't hate him...they hate what they feel is ignorance in people believing in something so strongly with (in their eyes) so little evidence to support.

I agree with you- I often say "I don't elieve in Atheists" I don't get worked up, bent out of shape, defiant and angry about things I don't believe exist. If one truly did not believe in God, then He would not be able to stir up such strong negative emotions in them.

They don't hate something they don't believe in. They hate the thought of people believing in it and that people tell them that they aren't supposed to believe that. But not God itself.
