Higher than normal blood pressure can be a sign of preclampsia or other problems related to pregnancy. Labor pains may also cause cramping or soreness in your legs. Call your OB/GYN office ASAP and give your symptoms to the call nurse. You may need to go to the hospital for a checkup. If your regular doctor does not have a after hours call service call the emergency room.

A couple of different things could be going on here. First, I would not trust the store blood pressure machine unless you've used it previously. I had used one at a local store and would always get a reading about 15-20 points higher than at the doctor.
135 over 82 is a little high but at 38 weeks pg it's not bad. Mine was always about that at the end of my pregnancies. The pains in your legs could be labor pains, false labor, pinched nerves, or just plain tired from carrying that baby around.
I would call your doctor though ASAP to let them know what is going on. At this stage of the game they will want to know every little change that goes on. I wish you the best with your new little one.

At 38 weeks you are not far from the big event! It's not unusual to have some pain in your legs at this point because the baby is large enough to be pressing on various areas of your abdomen that might cause pressure on nerves that lead to/from your legs. The baby might also may also be moving into the birth position which would cause the same thing. So far along, I would assume that you are now seeing your OB/GYN regularly. You need to be checked although it doesn't sound like a life-threatening situation. 135/82 isn't off the chart for your condition. Watch the salt, caffeine....NO ALCOHOL and keep yourself hydrated with water. Take slow walks to keep the circulation in motion. Congratulations.....you're about to be a MOM! :) Blessings!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I'm only 6 months pregnant and I have the same pain that you described. It started when I was only 4 months though but I also have placenta previa. (My placenta is low, covering my cervix). Any way the pain that I have starts in my bottom and shoots down my legs and my doctor told me that this is called Sciatica. This happens when the sciatic nerve is being pinched because the baby is causing your bones to shift. It is one of the worst pains I have ever experienced, so bad I have to use a cane or a walker to get around.
Ask your doctor, if he/she agrees you could try massage therapy to ease the pain but make sure you go to one who is certified to work on pregnant woman otherwise it could be dangerous for the baby. I've been told the only way this will go away is after delivery.
I've also been told that a chiropractor helps with the pain but it hasn't been doing me any good.
Good luck!

That is still within the normal range, but it is quite abit higher than what it was at the doctor. But, if you took it at the store in one of those machines that anyone in the world could use, I wouldn't necessarily trust it either. I use to get really bad pains in my legs and it was just because the baby was sitting on tendons and all that good stuff. Towards the end it got worse because he was getting bigger and dropping also.

It is not dangerously high, but somewhat elevated. That could be caused by by just about anything - having to go grocery shopping makes me tense sometimes.
If you are having bad pains in your legs, I would call your doctor. Anything abnormal at this stage of the game should be checked out - or at least your doctor should be informed of. Could be the baby settling and your pelvis shifting as it gets ready to give birth.

Your blood pressure is okay, but the pain in your legs isn't normal. Call your doctor. You may be ready to deliver.

It WOULD be high, but since your pregnant, it's pretty normal. It could be a pinched nerve or charlie horse. Just to be safe, I'd check webmd.com for other signs of toxemia, but I'm sure you're fine.
