b) Being there, quietly if necessary, is tremendous.
c) Suicidal moments need to be handled seriously, even if histrionic. Have them write out a contract that says they will not commit suicide. It's standard procedure. Make them give you and / parents etc. a copy. My wife has distributed mine to half a dozen different people.
d) Each person does grief differently. This will hurt alto because of its suddenness and violence. People go through the stages in their own order and sometimes, several times. You may want to read up on this over the next week or two.

Her pain will go away. She needs to mourn for a few days. Just stay with her and let her talk. Tell her she will leave everyone in as much pain as she is if she kills herself.

It sounds like she was more than best friends with this person.
Keep your eye on her and if you think she will do anything to hurt herself ,contact her parents .
You might want to suggest that she see a psychologist so she can vent.

She needs a friend, YOU
you don't need to talk a lot,
just be there for her and share her pain
that's the kind of support she needs

be there to listen, dont offer any advice if shes not asking for it. encourage her to talk about it. if u guys are not adult yet....make sure an adult that u trust knows her verbalizing that she wants to kill herself. when someone loses someone esp to accidental death, it gets harder to deal with, and by just being there to support them.....thats good enough

Yes be there for her; but also know when to recognize that she might need additional help. Don't push or to talk but don't her away.

Be there. Just having someone there to listen usually helps. If you need to, ask other people for help!

Go to her house and stay with her. She needs to be supervised. Call her doctor if you know the number.
