I have forgotten to take it home, I have left it on the top of my car, I have left it on someone elses car, I have forgotten about it and left it in my car.

Yes, but even worse, my husband forgot my excellent chocolate cheesecake on the counter AFTER we doggie bagged it. In the morning it was rancid. I think that is worse.
