It is no taxes when you buy something. Usually you will hear that alot if you ever leave the country. Everywhere down south is "duty-free". Still not satisfied, check out this site.....

Some kinds of products have an added "duty" or tax (perfume, cigarrettes, alcohol) but you are not required to pay that duty if you are traveling out of the country. Here in the US, you see duty-free shops in international airports. You can only buy these products if you're going on an international flight. Some shops check your boarding pass and others walk the products to the gate. You will have to declare those items and pay a duty if you bring them back into the US, that is, if you tell the customs agent you bought it in the duty-free shop.
