bees pollinate plants, so as long as there are bees, there will be pollination. distance doesn't matter b/c the male and female parts of the plants don't touch during pollination - it's just the transfer of pollen between the two plants by bees and wasps.

hollys are wind polinated so it can carry pretty far but there are some types that are actually grown with male and female holly in the same pot so it's not an issue, one I know of off hand is blue girl blue boy. but it depends on the grower. check with your local garden center to see if they have any of those since male hollys aren't very pretty plants.

10 ft. My husband is a professional Landscaper, and he said actually with windy conditions it could get carried up to a half mile.
