It really depends where you live? Do you live in the states? Every state has different laws.
I work at a Burger King, and I know for a fact in California that you can work there if your 16 years old and up. Its possible like others have said that you can work there if you are 14 or 15. But they'll most likely give you much less hours and make you clean up the places like dining room, taking out the trash and etc. Working at a fast food restaurant isn't really that hard, but its fast paced though.
good luck, and I hope this helps!

U have your answer, 14 with Parents or Guardian sign permission.
Why do you really need a job at age 14?
Attending School is a Full Time Job. Go to the nearest Library in your neighborhood and apply for a job.
Working in a place like a Library will help you continue with your education.

14 according to federal law, however the franchisee can require a higher age limit for liability reasons (up to 21 yrs). Unfortunately, you will just have to ask at each and every place you apply for a job with. Many grocery stores and fast food places can and will hire you. Don't get discouraged because some of them say "no".

I think you're good to go.
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Employment Standards Administrations Wage and Hour Division (WHD) administers and enforces the federal child labor laws. Generally speaking, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets the minimum age for employment (14 years for non-agricultural jobs), restricts the hours youth under the age of 16 may work, and prohibits youth under the age of 18 from being employed in hazardous occupations.

You'd better mow some lawns over the summer and bide your time till you turn 16. Most states don't allow businesses to hire minors under the age of 16.
