I signed a document titled "offer of employment" that included requested start date, requested acceptance date and benefits information. Will there be any legal repercussions if I dont start job?

There may be indeed! You should have read it completely before you signed it. You can be liable for damages, etc. if you are bound to take the job by the terms of the contract. My advice to you is READ THE CONTRACT.
