How old are you? If you are 22 or something, then this question is ridiculous. What's wrong with not having a boyfriend/girlfriend husband/wife in your life? There is nothing wrong with being single - you can focus on yourself. Plus most people in relationships are miserable most of the time. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

Just six months ago I was single. Since then, I've met a great girl and she is now my wife. I'm really not the kind of guy who marries someone he hardly knows, but it happened that way for me. I met her through a co-worker. You might try to phone chat lines. Some people on there are lonely and want to meet people to date. Some people on there are just out for fun, but they will pretty much let you know up-front. It's free for women. Give it a shot.
