This is generally the best material to use to make fish tanks any larger than 200 litres. Commercial tanks are made of 6mm toughened glass but anything larger than and including 6ft should be made of 10mm glass. The green tint will be fine for the fish, just make sure you seal everything properly and let it set for a while - it is not pretty when they leak and they hold a lot of water!

Also, make sure to cure the tank before putting fish in it. This involves setting it up with gravel, plants, heater, the relevant chemicals, some snails if you want them and obviously water. Then let it sit for at least a week with the heater on to begin creating the biological matter that is good for the environment. I would definitely recommend a biological filter.

I don't know if a cm of glass is strong enough. But...worth a shot.

a tank that holds water needs to be VERY strong. you may be better off buying one.
if you don't plan on holding water go for it
