I'm getting a little sick of being told that I need to understand Muslim Rage. If these bozos are this insecure about their religion maybe the problem isn't on our end.
Of course these morons will riot and kill and few hundred people to protest being called violent. They're so damn stupid that the irony of that will not even register with them.
Its time we came to grips with the indisputable fact that there's something about Islam that makes its followers stupid, violent and bloodthirsty. We need to deal with these savages accordingly.

Pope Benedict spoke the truth about the historical record. Islam's early history is about military conquest and no amount of sugar coating can change the facts. Early Christianity spread in a very different manner. Later Christian leaders were as guilty of violence as their Muslim counterparts. Muslims remember the crusades, which were fought in a savage and un-Christian manner, but were ultimately successful in stemming the Muslim advance into Europe. Again, as in the 11th century, the West feels threatened by Islamic expansionism and Muslims apprehend another crusade. In reality, Muslims should feel comforted by the Pope's comments. In context he stated that there is no religious justification for violence and notes that Christians should esteem Muslims because they worship the One God. I think that part of the message is that we should not repeat the barbarism of the 11th century in the 21rst century. It is difficult to understand why any Muslim would be offended by this message, much less be driven to murder. As a Christian, I would not be offended if Muslim leaders issued a similar message condemning violence.

Whenever they can sneak a shot in, they will do it. The Muslim reacton will be the same laughing & cheering that they did after 911. It's time for Christians to stand up for themselves by protesting world wide, but they won't. We need to stop playing nice.

The Pope is going to Turkey next week. I bet some one will try it then. That Benidict is no John Paul. Its like he wants to get shot. And as a side note...It wasnt the muslim world that shot Pope John Paul, It was a KGB agent who happenend to be a muslim. The russians had to kill him, he was bringing down the soviet union.

They got JPII, right? They wanted ANY excuse and they twisted a new one.
They are still living in the Crusade era and are accusing the Catholic church instead. This hatred goes back to that era and they want to reclaim what they lost.
This type of Muslim would feel they belonged in the those areas of the US where they create "art" out of defecating on Christian religious items. But that's legal. Christian worship is not.

It'll be a long, long time.

You have to realize that just because he's been added to their list of infidels that need killing - that's a long, long list.

I really don't expect to see the Christians rioting in the streets too soon. They're too busy trying to figure out when Christmas became "The Winter Holiday."

The Pope was quoting, but if the Muslims are smart, they will do nothing to the Pope

There are plenty of extremists out there that might try! But it may backfire on them, they may bring the wrath of nations not so bent on 'political correctness' as the US. In other words some one may go to the Mid-East and "do the job right'.

Just keep in mind that when I say this I speak of the radical extremists---Probably not long being that they have a tendency to over react to any comments that are made but they can kill and destroy and not bat an eyelash. ( And then expect no one to be angry or upset with them.)
