My son's name is Hunter Joseph. We loved Hunter because it is cute for a little boy, but is also a good name for an adult. Joseph was after my grandfather. I think that any name you choose is good as long as it is not to peculiar and people can pronounce it. Also consider a family name like someone who means a lot to you. Good luck on your son. Boys are so much fun!

I like the name Keegan for a boy. Do you have a male relative you're especially close to or did you have a male relative you loved dearly that passed away? That's always a good name to use. My daughter is named after an Uncle of mine that passed away. Yep, I gave her a boy's name! :)

Boy's names that reflect strength usually have one syllable. Brock, John, Mark etc. are examples of these.
Boy's names that come from the bible usually connote religious families. Names like Zachary, Joshua, Abraham, Daniel, David, Michael, etc.
Boy's names that come from literature usually mean the family is well-read, names like Ethan, Alan, Oliver, etc.
Boy's names that reference scientists or doctors usually mean the family is well educated, names like Albert, Louis, etc.
Some families use ancestor's names, or sports figures, or classical or jazz musicians or even actors. Then there are the 'ghetto-chic' names, that are unpronounceable and impossible to spell because they are 'unique' or eccentric names.
In my family, we have few boys for some reason. So every generation, the one or two boys is named Joseph (no reason) or Franklin (for Ben Franklin, our family hero.)
Make sure whatever name you choose means something to you. This will make it more meaningful to your son.

You can go to the Social Security website. It's very easy to research the most popular names in each year, going all the way back to the late 1800, as well as the 5 most popular names of each state.
