Yes. They are becoming more and more desperate and resorting to obscene, pathetic tactics to silence the liberal in a futile attempt.
Check out the sad desperation of this impersonator.

I have definitely noticed that since W gave his big speech a couple of weeks ago the hatred has increased considerably, if YAnswers is any guide.
But I do not see it as a sign that their ideology is in trouble - I see it as a sign that the USA is lurching evermore to the hard right, and they feel even more that they are the only true voice, and that liberals should "love it or leave it".
I don't live in the USA, but my wife is American. I am fascinated by what is happening there at the moment. It's like watching the rise of the Third Reich before my very eyes.
If I were a ruthless politician there is no way I could go wrong by pandering to people's fears. A bible-brandishing neo-nazi cannot go far wrong these days in the eyes of the US majority.
Do you think that just one library will be bombed, or do you think that what happened in Salt Lake City was just the start?
People are fearful that Muslims want to bomb the USA back into the middle ages. Seems to me like the hard right is doing a pretty good job of doing that themselves, when religion wins out over science and hysteria wins out over reason.

For some people's answers, it's pretend time. So, if you are looking for answers with any credibility, you will soon see which characters are worth responding to. The characters who sound merely angry and violent and frightened seldom offer any substance,,, other than amusement. But remember that those repulsive answers are spewn from the "heart" of some poor tortured soul for some reason.

I have wondered why there doesn't seem to be a reasonable, intelligent, conservative voice here. While I'm not conservative, I do have many bright friends who are, so I know such people exist.
Of course, there are a lot of folks on both sides whose comments rarely rise above the level of discourse one finds in a middle-school cafeteria, so perhaps to some extent it's just the nature of the forum.
I do hope that people just start to ignore the obvious fools, though.

I'm seeing hatred on Y! Answers from both sides. That's because both sides have extremists who do nothing but espouse hatred and try to instill malice in others. Just remember that any ideology is a faith based system.

By your logic, liberalism must be a flawed ideology as well because there seems to be a lot of hate-slinging by the libs too.

Probably a measured reaction from the constant Bush haterd sewage that poors outta liberals mouths. Conservatism will die the day conservative values die. And the day conservative values die is the day the world comes to an end.

No it's more a sign that people have differing opinions.
Again, just because you hear/see more liberal babel doesn't mean they are a majority. They just ***** all the time. Conservatives would much rather affect some change instead of sitting around complaining about the world situation. Also, most conservatives enjoy great personal lives and are greatful Americans.

The answer is because neoconservatives know that the tide is turning against them. The Republican Revolution in 1994 happened because the American people---otherwise known as the average voter, folks---us---we were angry enough and riled up enough, whether it was by what we didn't like about the Clinton administration, by which direction the country was going, by conservative talk radio, whatever, to say, "We're tired of liberals."
Twelve years later, the Republican party controls all three branches of our government, a majority of us are tired of Bush's policies, we're weary of all the wars and terrorist attacks, we think the country is headed in the wrong direction in general, and we're saying, "Now we're tired of conservatives."
So conservatives know they're fighting a battle that they're not so sure to win as they used to be, except maybe when it comes to homeland security, and they're lashing out because they're up against a wall and they're running out of arguments that people will believe. This goes for conservatives in general, not just here on Answers.
