Why is it that anytime any country, or any issue is brought up, it's always the United States who needs to change policy before something bad happens (always a something bad coming when I hear this comment). I have an idea. Why the hell don't people stop trying to kill us? Why don't Cuba and Korea stop rattling their sabres before we have to take them from them, hack off their arm, and beat them bloody with them. Why doesn't North Korea stop psuhing us and Japan by taunting the international community with repeated "missile tests", and why is it when we test our defense system, they make international claim that it is some act of war on our part, or threat thereof? Why doesn't Iran stop talking about, and apologize for the threats made in regards to wiping Israel off the face of the earth?

Anyone who thinks that the US has to change policy to save the world can kiss my red white and Blue ***.

For Coragryph:
Political Comments? Now come on. Normally, I really enjoy reading and agree with your reponses. But, Political Comments? Please. If we in the US were to EVER make the POLITICAL COMMENT that we were going to wipe Iran, or North Korea, off the face of the earth....wow.
These are threats, not comments. Regardless of how anyone feels about Bush, Iraq, the Taliban, Oil for Food Program money(non of which I even mentioned above), we are being threatened.

For NEPTUNE,
Why don't you tell the families of the thousands of people mass murdered by Saddam with poisonous gas that he had no weapons of mass destruction. And you know, the left was on board with this thing just like everyone else. You also forget that Saddam stopped alowing the inspectors full access to his facilities. And to add to Coragryphs unilateral comment above, the UN has proved time and time again that the only thing they will do is polish the chair with their ***, so what choices are we left with? No proof? There are trenches filled with proof in Iraq.

Coragryph, Good point. Excepting the fact that we have waited until attacked. We have waited until attacked in almost every scenario. But that is not what I was trying to get across. We are being reactive with our military force. Everything we have done is an effect, that is what people seem to forget easily. I am not insinuating we attack everyone we don't like, please. On the other side of that, you can only poke the snake with a stick for so long before you get bit. So, honestly, besides the ever tiring debate about "getting out of iraq" and why did we attack poor little saddam, why should we change?

Maybe, just maybe it is because the USA is always the first to step up to the plate.

It absolutly did not make any sense to go after Sudham Hussein, when it was Assamma Bin Laden and his terrorists that took credit for 9/11. I understand that there are things not known to the public due to "classification of information" but gees this was so obvious and still is, there still is no proof that Sadam had ever had weapons of mass destruction, and that he was our ally before. It's really hard to accept certain issues, for simple tax paying folks, those countries have been at war with each other for 30 years, I don't know what difference we can make there, just like nothing was accomplished with Vietnam, I don't believe there is a true independant body with no alterior motives anymore, everyone wants a piece of the pie. I do support our troups and yours because I know they really believe they are fighting for a better humanity. Over here the message gets lost due to media, its a sorrwful thing when you have families ripped apart here and over there, do you think anyone is really going to gain except those who maufacture, guns, tanks, war ships, war planes, amunition. Should we believe a government that has vested interests in keeping the war going? There is only one who knows the truth and His coming I pray for to right all the wrong.

I don't really give a rats azz what any of them think.
As long as the US is doing what is morally right; the Dictators who want Nukes available so they can take over more & more of the world (and the weak kneed liberals that think it's OK because they forgot to take history) can forget about getting support from any truely free country.
Yes, the Mullah's in Iran are nothing more than Dictators no matter what religon they try to hide behind.

And you have people arguing with you.
We are the strongest, so it is easier for everyone else to agree that we are bad.
We should help everyone, and leave them alone at the same time.
If we threaten force I think we should use it. Launch our missiles and remind everyone why Japan surrendered at the end of WWII and why we are not someone to mess with.

This is the view because we stick our nose (policy) into everyone Else's business. Why don't people bomb and ask the Swiss, Finns, Swedes, etc. to change their policies. It's simply because they don't have a policy on every single world issue.

I'm with you. They say: The US is so horrible. We turn up our noses at them. They're just imperialists.

But as soon as their country is attacked/bombed/threatened/plagued with diseases of some kind, who do they run to for help? The USA. Help, please help us, USA. We want your money and military might to get our pathetic @$$es out of trouble. Kiss my @$$, too!

Look at the Pope - he hasn't changed in 1206 years since Charlemagne was crowned Holy Roman Emperor.

The Holy Roman Empire ceased to exist but the Pope is MORE powerful now than he was 1206 years ago.

There will come a time where both the US and the Pope will have to change whether they like it or not for their mere survival.
