Yes, Its a good place!!! You should be in the right place at the right time though!!!
Deccan on sundays and evenings for dining and shopping, Camp area, Koregaon Park for partying and Osho Ashram, Aundh for residing, University for privacy and long walks. You should know where to go. The traffic is a bit of problem but then all the cities in India have a traffic problem. Pune is no different.
