See your doctor for a review. It may be infected and it might need surgical drainage. You may require antibiotics.

Or maybe you just need to wash your neck.

To be quite honest, simply from your description, what comes to my mind is a Sebaceous cyst.
Sebaceous cysts most often arise from swollen hair follicles. Skin trauma can also induce a cyst to form. A sac of cells is created into which a protein called keratin is secreted.

These cysts are usually found on the face, neck, and trunk. They are usually slow- growing, painless, freely movable lumps beneath the skin. Occasionally, however, a cyst will become inflamed and tender.

Symptoms
Usually a nontender, small lump beneath the skin
Redness, tenderness, or increased temperature of the skin over the area may occur infection
Grayish-white, cheesy, foul-smelling material may drain from the cyst.
Most cysts may be ignored or treated with simple surgery.
Call your health care provider if you notice any new growths on your body. Though cysts are not dangerous, your doctor should examine you to ensure that skin cancer is not present.

It may not be a lymph node. I think it is an epidermal inclusion cyst, a common benign cyst found in the skin that usually
contains smelly soft granular, sometimes cheesy, material, and in your case yours may have already ruptured. Go see a doctor and have it removed. It's a simple superficial skin operation.

is there any discharge?
long standing lymph nodes are early signs of lymphoma but once it smells ( there must be some discharge), it means there is some infection like tuberculosis.
otherwise it could be a cyst (not a lumph node) & now is infected.
see your doctor.
I cant believe you have it all this time & ignoring it completely.
