What is the best way to remember a really good question that I have forgotten?

I thought of a really good question that I thought I might be able to ask on here or to write to Brainiac with, but I can't remember it. It is like remembering a get rich quick scheme but forgetting it.

Some have said to write it down, but what if it is when you are in bed dreaming, about to wake up, and when you wake up you know something amazing, but forget it?? You can;t wrtie it down again, and I try and go back to remember it by going back to sleep but that doesn't seem to work with me.

Where were you when you thought of it? Try to recreate the environment.

Do you ever walk into a room to do something but can't remember what it was? Often, if you immediately leave the room, and then re-enter it, the repetition will trigger your memory.

It can't hurt to try. Good luck.

Try to remember where or when you came up with the idea. Often if I remember the circumstances leading up to the thought, the thought itself comes right back to me. Sometimes it involves retracing my footsteps or turning to a specific page in a book, etc. Good luck remembering!

If you can sincerely recognise that you tend to forget something you need to remember, then, try to slowly , consciously commit to memory, co-relating it something that you remember easily, some tune that you hum by default. This co-relating need not be logical , since you are not accountable to anyone to give reasons.
