You need a web hosting service. There are a plethora of services available. I particularly have been happy with freeservers.com . They have free web hosting and paid web hosting. The free web hosting will put an advertisement on your site (this is typical for free web hosting services).

After you sign up, you will need to check with your web hosting service for the FTP information. This will include an FTP server address, username, and password.

In Dreamweaver, you will want to select Site > New Site. Then complete the New Site wizard using the FTP information you were given. Then, open the page you want to put on the web, and click the green and blue up and down arrows (next to where you title the page) and select Put. When asked about Include Dependent Files select Yes (this will also put the images and such that your site requires on the web). Dreamweaver will then upload the file.

Your website will then be located at the address your web hosting service told you /.html. Make sure to save your home page as index.html (actually type .html don't just save it as index, otherwise it is saved as .htm). That's it! Your site is on the web. Everytime you make changes to your pages, however, you will need to Put them on the web again.

GoDaddy has the major advantage of being cheap. Even free under certain circumstances, I think. But I want to warn you of something. I first signed up with a different service, and found out that it was expensive compared to GoDaddy and others. So I requested the name be transferred, and so far that other, more expensive, company has balked. So choose once, and carefully, and don't need to do the transferring thing that seems to be so hard.
