The bottom of my cell phone came out, and is not useable, and I've got my husbands old cell phone, which doesn't have a camera, but that doesn't matter.

If it is compatible with the system your cell provider uses, then it can be used, if not, then you have to buy another phone.

Could you or Should you, I think the way you worded you question was confusing, but I think you want to know if you can take your husbands OLD phone and use it as a replacment to the old one. Well, I dont know, you did not give mme any additional information, in all questions you should include a Carrier (i.e:Verizon Wireless) and the phone Model(s).
It should work if you and your Husband are on the same network and the old phone is too.
So yes to that.

But if you ment that you wanted to know if you SHOULD then I think it is a great idea to save some money and not buy a new phone. If you would like to, please contact me for further information, you can do this By AIM: mrbw202, or E-mail, bwcoool202@yahoo.com. Thank you for using Yahoo! Answers.

If the cell phones take a SIM card (should be under the battery, looks like a small rectangle card) take the SIM out and put it in your husbands old phone. Thats it. As long as the phone works your good to go!

That all depends on how old the phone is that you want to use. Once I tried to give my dad an older phone since he had lost his. Verizon said no deal because of 911 compatibility. The older phone did not have that ability, so they would not reactivate the phone.

Best bet, take the phone you want to use to your service carrier.

if you need a camera you should get a new phone if not use the old one no sence in getting a new one if your husbands works fine unless you need something new

is it a GSM? CDMA? ANALOG? or any other standard? if it is the same then you can still use it...or better yet, if the old cell was using the same number that he is using now and you are of the same carrier, by all means.
