Different options:
1) Go to Germany, Austria or Switzerland (the German-speaking parts). Immersion is the best way to learn a language.
2) Take classes. Find out if your school offers them, or a local college might. Or check out if there's a Goethe Institute in your region. (http://www.goethe.de/enindex.htm)
3) Find friends who speak German, or have taken classes and who want to share and practise with you.
4) Listen to music in German (they have great bands) to radio programs (http://www.dw-world.de) and read the news in German. Get a good dictionary and make vocabulary lists of words to memorize.
5) Label objects in your house with German words, the articles and the plural endings, and the pronunciation. You'll constantly see them, and therefore memorize your everyday vocabulary very quickly.
