truck driving. I became a trucker when I was 21, with no college. I made about $600-$1000 per week. That was 11 years ago. Its a great starter job for a great career.

By diploma I hope you don't mean H.S. How old are you? You can get G.E.D. - easy to study for and pass. If you don't know how to read o.k. or write a decent sentence, you must go back to school - adult school, etc. Employers in entry level would want to see that you are "enrolled and attending" whatever skill/diploma class you are in. The answer above re: gas station attendant is your future if you don't get on the ball. You know fast food is available but you may be competing with undocumented and if so, you don't stand a chance. Do not drop out if you haven't. Grab onto an adult, counselor, etc. and ask them to help you plan this year and then do it again beginning of next year. Life does not just happen. People live like that but they do not have a life. Understand?

Didn't you ask this question a few weeks ago? Most entry level jobs just mean that you will start at the bottom with the lowest pay. Even if you have a diploma or education. It's not like working in a fast food place. If you are not a manager there, you are the bottom! Entry level means you will have the ability to work your way UP!

Actually, most "good entry-level" jobs do require a high school diploma or GED. You can get help preparing for the GED at your local community college (it's free), and they also administer the exam when you are ready to take all five parts of a portion of it. The more education you have, the more opportunities/options you will have in life. I recommend you speak with an advisor at your local community college right away. No time like the present. Best wishes to you!

Try to be an assistant in the career that you are thinking about getting into. Or try to intern at the job that you want. I have interns at my place of work and they are the ones that usually get hired because they get trained as they are doing the internship and that makes for a good employee because when they get hired they are already trained to do the job.

Good Luck.

Try getting a job as an Administrative Assistant in a profession that you like. You will meet lots of people and likely help out in different departments. Someone higher up might take you under their wing and teach you and/or help you move up to a better position.
